Efficiency resource management to ensure sustainability

Abstract

The warming of our planet is dramatically affecting humanity; thawing, acid rain, hurricanes, tsunamis, droughts, forest fires, diseases and other troubles are becoming more frequent. The risks of continuing down this path would be very serious. About several environmental groups are trying to change human behavior for protecting the world we live. This paper presents and analyzes the best production practices and the most serious cases that have affected the environment due to inadequate industrial management, the analysis of both situations are drawn respective teachings and give necessary recommendations to reconcile industrial development with sustainability and preservation of our environment. © 2015 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
