Resumen
The increase in technologies leads to a great challenge for organizations, since the greater the adoption of new technologies involved, the greater the risk of suffering cyberattacks that damage the integrity and continuity of the business. The aim of this research is to analyze how emerging technologies can be used effectively to strengthen the resilience of information in organizations against cyberattacks based on social engineering. Through this work, we proceeded to evaluate the consequences that cyberattacks due to social engineering and their relationship with information systems can have through a literature review of scientific articles in databases such as ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore and Scopus. The results found show that emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things and blockchain are the main players in cybersecurity. These technologies ensure the resilience of information by providing control over how the information that organizations must safeguard is accessed and processed by building cyber resilient information systems. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
