The objective of the study was to determine the correlation between the use of the virtual forum as a didactic technique and critical thinking in postgraduate students. The research is of a quantitative approach, non-experimental design and descriptive level, the sample made up of master’s students from a University of Lima. Data collection was performed with instruments validated by expert judgment and reliability determined with Cronbach’s alpha statistic. The hypothesis tests were carried out with Spearman’s rho coefficient considering a significance level of 0.05, indicating the values obtained a significant positive correlation between moderate and strong between the variables, concluding in general that, the more use of the virtual forum as a technique didactics, greater critical thinking in postgraduate students. The correlation between the variables contributes to the didactics of higher education, since it guides the design of participation strategies in virtual forums to issue opinions, carry out debates or sustain with originality points of view necessary for the development of critical thinking of postgraduate students. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
